Supertubos
The «European Pipeline»: heavy barrels over sand and home of a world tour event.
Supertubos is one of the most powerful waves in Portugal: fast, heavy barrels over a sandbank on the south side of the Peniche peninsula. It works with a northerly wind, the most common in the area, and hosts a WSL world tour event every year.
It breaks very hard in shallow water: it's not a wave to learn on.
