Los Locos
Suances' surfiest beach: long peaks, a channel to paddle out and a hollow right by the cliff.
Los Locos is a beach tucked below cliffs in Suances, very exposed to west and north-west swell and therefore one of the most consistent in Cantabria. On the left of the beach there's a long wave; in the middle, a channel helps you get out to the peak.
At the far right, at low tide and with at least 1.5 m of swell, a fast hollow right forms along the cliff. The cliffs shelter it from easterly and north-easterly winds, which are the good ones here.
