Les Huttes
Northern Oléron: when it switches on, hollow peaks in very shallow water.
Les Huttes is in north-west Oléron, near Chassiron. Because of the island's shape, south-west swells need to be bigger than north-west ones to reach it. Most days the waves are medium-sized and easy.
When everything lines up, four or five hollow, shallow peaks appear, both left and right: then it's a wave for experienced surfers only.
