Bastiagueiro
The sheltered beach in the A Coruña estuary: gentle waves and surf schools when it's huge outside.
Bastiagueiro is inside the estuary, in Oleiros, protected from the open ocean. It only works when a big north-west swell arrives, and then it breaks with much smaller, cleaner waves than the rest of the coast.
That's why it's the beach of many A Coruña surf schools and the refuge on stormy days. It gets crowded easily.
