Le Gurp
The best option in the northern Médoc in big swell: long, powerful waves by the bunkers.
Le Gurp works when Lacanau is out of control, above 2.5 m. The waves are long, powerful and hollow, and always look bigger from the water than from the beach.
There are several peaks; the left by the German bunkers is usually the most consistent.
