Kolymbithra
The Cyclades' surf bay, on the north of Tinos, with waves when the meltemi blows.
Kolymbithra is a sandy bay on the north coast of Tinos, with two beaches split by rocks. Open to the north, it gets windswell from the meltemi, which in summer brings waves almost daily.
There are schools and a small local community; the best days come when the wind eases and the swell remains.
