Les Sables d'Or
The surf heart of Anglet, by the Chambre d'Amour: peaks between groynes for everyone.
Les Sables d'Or is at the Chambre d'Amour, the southern end of Anglet. The groynes split the beach into several peaks that work on any tide, making it one of the most reliable beaches in the area.
There are surf schools, shops and bars right on the beach, which is why it gets so crowded.
