Rodiles
Asturias' great left: long barrels over the sandbank of the Villaviciosa estuary.
Rodiles breaks at the mouth of the Villaviciosa estuary. With a north-west swell and low tide, the river sandbank forms a long barrelling left that is considered the best wave in Asturias. Many compare it to Mundaka, although its barrel is usually a little more forgiving.
It doesn't hold as much size as Mundaka (from 2.5–3 m it starts closing out), and on the right side of the bay there are other peaks that can also be very good.
