Omiš (Velika plaža)
The sandy beach at the mouth of the Cetina river, one of Dalmatia's few sand-bottom waves.
At Omiš, the Cetina river reaches the sea between mountains and leaves a sandy beach, Velika plaža, unusual on this gravel coast. In a jugo, the river-mouth banks give waves with some shape.
The best sessions come when the wind swings to bura after the storm.
