Žnjan
Split's big gravel beach, where Dalmatian surfers meet when the jugo blows.
Žnjan is a long gravel beach east of Split's centre, facing the islands of Brač and Šolta. The jugo pushes in between the islands and raises short waves that bring the city's surf community together.
The waves are small and soft, best on boards with volume.
