Castelldefels
A long beach south of Barcelona with gentle waves when a southerly swell arrives.
Castelldefels has nearly 5 km of sand facing south, between the Llobregat delta and the Garraf massif. It works with a south or south-west swell (the garbí), when Barcelona's beaches are smaller.
Waves are usually soft and there's plenty of room: it's a favourite with the area's surf schools.
