San Juan (Alicante)
Alicante's big beach, with soft waves on the few days an easterly comes in.
San Juan beach and its continuation, Muchavista, make up about 7 km of sand between Alicante and El Campello. Cabo de la Huerta and Cabo de Santa Pola shelter it, so it needs a good easterly storm to get waves.
When it comes, soft waves fill the water with the city's surfers and bodyboarders.
